Sustainable Home | Jardan

These guys are very impressive; they have a significant number of certifications to back their sustainable ethos, and they design with timelessness and longevity in mind.

Change is always going to be a good thing and I generally prefer to embrace it, so I’m very excited to be looking forward. With this in mind, we’ve been thinking about setting-up our next home a lot lately, and we’ve come to accept that our old second-hand lounges are well and truly done. Our backs keep reminding us when our eyes aren’t! I had figured the only option we would have for sustainable sofas would be to go down the second-hand ‘recycle’ route once more, however a friend recently introduced me to the breathtakingly gorgeous range of furniture and homewares at Jardan.

These guys are very impressive; they have a significant number of certifications to back their sustainable ethos, and they design with timelessness and longevity in mind. All design, manufacture and servicing is conducted under the one roof in Melbourne, and they truly seek to be as socially and environmentally conscious as possible in all that they do. I’ve said it before, but I do truly love it when this ethos is matched will beautiful design, and Jardan hit the mark exceptionally well on both. Jardan also have their annual Factory Sale next weekend, 28th-29th June, so if you’re in Melbourne (or just that in love) make sure you get yourself there! Investing in new lounges and furniture is probably a little while off for us yet, but it doesn’t stop me from dreaming now…
